This is my ode to Taylor Swift’s album releases, proof that every new era needs a drink to match. Sweet ripe peaches bring the romance, jalapeño slices add the drama, and sparkling water keeps it fresh and timeless. Like a favorite track, this is a recipe you’ll want on repeat.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
- 1–2 fresh jalapeños, seeded and thinly sliced (adjust to spice preference)
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp agave syrup (or honey)
-
¼ cup sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Tajín seasoning (for rim)
- Peach slices and jalapeño rounds, for garnish
-
1 shot tequila
Directions
- Add peaches and jalapeños to a blender. Purée until smooth.
- Push the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard pulp.
- In a small pitcher, stir together lime juice and agave until dissolved. Add peach–jalapeño juice and mix well.
- Run a lime wedge around each glass rim, then dip into Tajín. Fill glasses with ice.
Pour the peach–jalapeño mixture into each glass, about three-quarters full. Top with sparkling water, vodka and give a gentle stir.
- Add a peach slice and jalapeño round to the rim for a fresh finish.
Recipe Note
- Spice level is flexible: One jalapeño gives a mild kick, two makes it bold. If you’re nervous, start with half and taste before adding more.
- Make it ahead: The peach jalapeño base can be blended and strained up to a day in advance. Store chilled and add sparkling water just before serving.
- Swap the sweetener: Agave keeps it light, but honey or simple syrup work just as well.
- No fresh peaches? Frozen peaches thawed at room temperature are a solid stand-in.
- Mocktail → Cocktail: For a spiked version, replace sparkling water with a splash of tequlia
